I feel it noteworthy that I was able to do the previously without incident using Windows PE 2005 and Ghost 8.0. Running GHOST32.EXE (v11 from GSS 2.0) on XP SP2
I receive this error on 3 separate systems, on 4 different hard disks - can anyone give me some advice? When I do a search for the error online, the only thing I turn up is a Symantec pages that states the abort has been "fixed" in some prior release - bravo Symantec. When I run the check again I ALWAYS receive the error: "Internal error 15004: An internal error internal inconsistency has been detected. I then create an additional image using Ghost. Next step, I run PTEDIT32 and set the PE partition type to "DE". At this point, if I Ghost the drive to a image, and then run an intergrity check on the image there are no problems. Once I am back in PE I run a chkdsk on the drive I applied my images to - no issues. I apply my PE image to the 1st partition, and then my XP image to the second partiton. To change this value, I use PTEDIT32.EXE. In order for the BIOS in the PC's to recognize that a Utility Partition exists, the partition must be set to the partition type "DE" (Dell Diagnostic).
My intention is to use the PE partition in conjuction with the "Boot to utility partition" option in the newer Dell PC's.

The second, a plain Windows XP SP2 install The first, a 2GB partition that contains Windows PE 2.0 for recovery purposes. I am creating an image that has 2 partitions on it:
